J. Major's Bridal Boutique Owner, CJ Bostrom, was born in DaNang, Vietnam. At the age of 6, her family moved to the United States and made their home in Asheboro, NC. After high school, CJ attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she obtained a degree in Biology with a concentration in Chemistry. Shortly after graduating, she found herself working for a UK-based company out of Raleigh that specialized in non-invasive cardiology sales and research software. It was during this time that she met her husband, Creighton, and after years of traveling with her company, she decided to change careers, allowing her more time with Creighton, her older daughter Erin, and her soon-to-be-born daughter, Devon. Having always been interested in fashion, she started a high end bridesmaids boutique in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte in 2003 called Demoiselle. Eventually, CJ decided to add bridal and purchased J. Major's. Now, after years in the bridal business, she has the passion and desire to make brides happy by not only creating a store environment that is comfortable, inviting and specialized, but by having the ability to create one-of-a-kind gowns, as well.
